With Eid al-Fitr right around the corner, we can feel the contagious excitement in the air! Dubai seems to be buzzing with plenty of celebrations for people to experience. While most hotels and restaurants across Dubai have a number of events lined up, we think it would duly be incomplete without an Eid Fireworks Show!
If you plan on catching a spectacular display of fireworks lighting up the sky, you might just be in luck. Here are the details.
Dubai Festival City Mall
The first and extremely popular is Festival City Mall is here to take your celebrations sky-high with two exorbitant musical firework displays on the 15th of June (Friday). There will be two shows, one at 9 p.m and the other at 10:30 p.m. It’s free to watch and for the best views, make sure you arrive early and pick a good spot along Festival Bay. Shoppers and spectators are encouraged to visit the mall with friends and families alike, to experience it in full swing. Other activities will be taking place as well- including The Walking Box Roaming Entertainment which is basically walking around the entire mall until Monday (June 18th).
The shopping complex will also be extending its hours until 1 am, throughout Eid, for those of you who can’t get enough of shopping
More than fireworks display in Dubai!
You could also experience the “Magic Wishing Well”, an initiative taken in collaboration with Disney where you could write a greeting of your choice and submit it to one of the mall’s Disney pods. You can then watch your message appear at the wishing well through light and music. Each personal greeting is also captured as a photo that could be sent to loved ones.
Since this mall is also home to the record-breaking IMAGINE show, there will be special performances- A Star Dance (7 pm and 9pm) and A Child’s Dream (8pm and 10pm) over a span of four days. A lot of people are expected to come for the celebration, so it is advised to book your favorite restaurant well in advance. Adequate parking space is available on the site and if you get there early, you will have the privilege of getting great shopping deals too.
