Entry & Services:

Free entrance on Jan 1st (New Year's Day), lunar calendar Jan 15th (Lantern Festival), May 18th (International Museum Day), Sep 27th (World Tourism Day), Oct 10th (Taiwan National Day).
Sign Language guide is available.
Available in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Hakka Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Sign Language (National Palace Museum in Taipei only).
A deposit of a valid ID (Taiwan ID, driving license, NHI card, passport, or ARC) or TWD 3,000 is required for rental.
The ID or deposit will be returned to the visitors upon the return of the audio touring equipment.
Do not bring the audio guide device outside the museum.
For lost or any damage, compensation is required according to the purchase price.

By MRT + Bus:
Take the Red Line (Tamsui-Xinyi Line) to Shilin Station → Exit 1 → transfer to Bus R30, 815, 304, or Minibus 18/19 → get off at National Palace Museum stop.
By MRT + Taxi:
From Shilin Station, a taxi takes about 10 minutes.
By Direct Bus:
From Taipei Main Station or Jiannan Road Station, take Bus R30 directly to the museum.
