Insider Tips

Buy Tickets Online in Advance: Advance booking avoids the ticket queue and often comes with a discount, and same-day tickets can sell out entirely.
One Rotation Lasts About 30 Minutes: The wheel keeps turning slowly the whole way around, so you get a full loop even if you board mid-cycle.
Time Your Ride for Good Light: Pick your time of day deliberately, since backlighting through the glass can wash out photos.
Have Your Ticket Ready on Your Phone: Open your booking confirmation before you reach the queue so staff can scan it without delay.
Check the Queue Before You Set Off: Wait times vary a lot by time of day, from a smooth 30 minutes to considerably longer at peak periods.
