  • This activity is stroller and wheelchair-accessible.
  • A car park is available on Tomewin Street from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (except on event days). Parking costs $10, with all proceeds supporting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
  • Free street parking is also available.

By Car:

  • From Gold Coast Airport, it’s about 5 km (10 minutes). Take the Gold Coast Highway south and turn right onto Tomewin Street.
  • From Surfers Paradise, it’s roughly 30 minutes via the Gold Coast Highway.
  • From Brisbane, take the Pacific Motorway (M1) south, exit at Stewart Road (Exit 95), turn left onto Gold Coast Highway, then right onto Tomewin Street.

Parking:

  • Free on-site parking is available for all visitors.

    The sanctuary is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The special evening experience, Astra Lumina, runs from Wednesday to Saturday.

  • Can I hold a koala or feed kangaroos?

    Yes, koala photo opportunities and kangaroo feeding are available for an additional fee. Some encounters require advance booking.

  • Is the sanctuary wheelchair and stroller friendly?

    Yes, pathways are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Wheelchairs are available on request.

  • Can I bring my own food and drinks?

    No outside food or drinks are allowed, but there are cafes and picnic areas inside the sanctuary.
