Even though children are free, it's still necessary to reserve a ticket for them (to monitor visitor numbers).
Children under 11 years and disabled visitors are free of charge but still require an admission ticket, which can be obtained from the ticketing counter. A valid ID is required.
The hours and days of opening to the public can be exceptionally modified by the Management in case of special events inside the Basilica.

Please note that the audio guide is not suitable for children under 11.
