Rules:

  • For your safety, the museum recommends wearing flat, covered, and comfortable shoes. High heels are not permitted on any museum vessels. Open-toed shoes, sandals, and thongs are strongly discouraged.
  • For safety reasons, adults are not allowed to carry infants or children in their arms while on board any vessel.
  • Smoking, food, and beverages are not permitted on board any vessel or inside the lighthouse.
  • The Museum welcomes guide dogs and companion dogs. A dog bowl water bubbler is located just outside the main foyer near the boardwalk.

Know Before You Go

Entry and Services:

  • Photography and the use of cameras are permitted on board all vessels and inside the lighthouse.
  • Large bags must be deposited at the Museum’s cloakroom before boarding any vessel or entering the lighthouse.
  • Cloakroom service is provided free of charge.
  • Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult when boarding any vessel.
  • Children must be at least 90 cm tall to board the HMB Endeavour replica, submarine HMAS Onslow, and some visiting vessels.
  • A range of accessible services is available, including wheelchairs, which can be borrowed free of charge from the front desk.
  • Accessible toilets are located on the museum's lower level (accessible by lift and walkway) and in the ground-level entry foyer.
  • Enjoy a selection of delicious food and beverages at Ripples Express Café, which is fully wheelchair accessible.
