Items larger than 55 × 35 × 20 cm are not permitted inside the museum.
All visitors must pass through a security screening. During peak season, wait times at security may be up to 20 minutes.
Please be aware that during rainy or adverse weather conditions, or for security reasons, wait times at the Louvre Museum's security checkpoints may be longer than usual.
Tickets are exclusively valid for the chosen service, date, and time. Failure to arrive within the designated time slot for admission to the Pyramid will result in the same admission and waiting conditions as those without tickets for holders of online tickets.
Disabled visitors along with the carers enjoy free admission upon proof of identification.

Can I enter the Louvre several times in one day with the same ticket?

Louvre admission tickets are valid all day. However, all exits are final and no re-entry shall be granted.
Am I allowed to take photos?

People can take photos and videos in the permanent collections if they are for personal use. However, you are not allowed to use selfie sticks, flash or lighting. In some temporary exhibitions, you might not be allowed to take photos or videos of certain artworks.
Are activities available for children?

The museum offers various activities for children, including workshops, guided tours, storytelling sessions, and free Studio activities. Don’t forget to ask for a ‘Louvre passport’ at the information desk under the Pyramid, which children can enjoy while exploring the museum!
