  • Plan A Route Around A Few Key Works: The collection runs to thousands of paintings across dozens of rooms. Pick a handful of works you most want to see and route yourself between them rather than trying to cover everything.
  • Leave The Camera Packed Away: Photography is not permitted inside the galleries. Enjoy the paintings directly instead of through a screen.
  • Check Bags And Food Before You Go In: Large bags go into the cloakroom, and outside food is not allowed inside. Travel light through the galleries.

  • Do I need to book Prado Museum tickets in advance?

    Yes. Tickets are dated, and the queue at the door can run long, especially near opening and during the free evening hours. Booking a timed slot online secures entry without waiting in that line.

  • Is the Prado Museum free at certain times?
