  • Do not touch or step on any historical objects.
  • Large bags, backpacks, and umbrellas must be stored in the cloakroom or lockers.
  • The Museum is not liable for valuables stored in the cloakroom.
  • Parents with small children may bring a bag or backpack after inspection.
  • Uncollected items will be handed to the Lost & Found Office.
  • Smoking is prohibited on the premises.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibition areas.
  • Animals are not permitted, except for assistance dogs.
  • Photography and filming without flash or tripod are allowed for personal use only.
  • Bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, and similar items are not allowed inside the Museum.
  • Helium balloons and gas cylinders are not permitted in the Museum.

  • The museum entrance is below street level. Wide concrete ramps lead to the main entrance.
  • Wheelchair access on the ramp may be affected by paving stones on both sides. The east ramp has a gradient of less than 6% but lacks a handrail.
  • There are round seating furniture scattered around the entrance area.

  • You can present either a printed copy or a mobile e-ticket.
  • Tickets are only valid during the period specified.

Parking for Bicycles:

  • In front of the main entrance at Mariahilfer Straße 212 there are parking spaces for bicycles.

Parking for Cars:

  • There is a parking garage next to the museum – entrance Linzer Straße (DoubleTree by Hilton Vienna Schonbrunn) – with a reduced fee for our visitors: € 2.20 instead of € 3.20 per parking hour. 

Parking for Electric Vehicles:

  • Charging stations are located in the immediate vicinity of the museum at Linzer Straße 5.

Accessible Parking:

  • Accessible parking spaces are available in front of the main entrance at Mariahilfer Straße 212.
