Check the Grand Prix Calendar First: Each spring the Long Beach Grand Prix closes nearby streets and fills every parking option, so check event dates before you drive in.
Reserve Your Weekend or Holiday Slot Early: Admission on weekends and holidays needs a booked time slot, so reserve a few days ahead if that is when you plan to visit.
Come Before 10am or After 3pm: The halls fill up fast around midday, so an early or late visit means shorter waits at the most popular tanks.
Head Straight to the Touch Pools: The ray and moon jelly pools draw the longest queues once the halls fill, so visit them first for closer access.
Pack a Picnic for the Plaza: Outside food is not allowed inside, but the plaza has picnic tables for eating before or after, and it costs less than the food inside.

Lockers are not provided on the premises.

Visitors 62 years old and above can buy the reduced ticket on site.
Advance timeslot reservation is required on weekends and holidays only.
All exhibits are wheelchair accessible, and wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the information desk.
Parking is available on-site for a flat $8 with validation at the front desk.

You can present your ticket as a printed copy or a mobile e-ticket. Choose the format that is most convenient for you.
Your Aquarium of the Pacific Ticket is only valid during the specified period mentioned in the selected package. Make sure to check the dates and times of validity to plan your visit accordingly.
You can enter directly with your ticket. There is no need for additional validation or check-in procedures.

We are located half a mile from the Transit Mall in downtown Long Beach which makes for a 10 minute downhill walk to the Aquarium from the Blue line and major bus lines.

Walking directions from the Transit Mall at Pine and 1st Street:

Head South on Pine Ave. (towards the water)
Turn right at The Paseo
Turn left at Aquarium Way

By Bus:

You may take Long Beach Transit’s FREE Passport bus that serves downtown Long Beach, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Queen Mary. From downtown to the Aquarium, you can board at many stops along Pine Avenue, with the northwest corner bus stop of Pine at Ocean Blvd. being very popular (see southbound Pine at 1st St on the schedule). The Passport has frequent arrivals every 8-12 minutes depending on the day and time.

Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed only on Christmas Day. Some dates run extended evening hours for special events.

Yes. Children under 3 are admitted free, and the information desk offers free stroller and wheelchair loans. Daily touch pools and animal presentations give younger visitors plenty to do.
Are there special shows or feedings?
