Insider Tips

  • Buy the Train and Explorer Safari Option: The park covers 119 hectares and the basic pass includes only the 15-minute Arabian Desert drive. The option with unlimited park train rides and the 35-minute Explorer Safari saves you hours of walking between the villages, so book that one.
  • Be at the Gate for 9 AM Opening: The animals are most active in the first two hours and retreat into shade by midday, and on weekends and public holidays the safari bus and train queues pass an hour by late morning. Head straight to the Explorer Safari, then work back.
  • Plan Around the Show Times: The birds of prey show and the animal presentations run to a fixed timetable and the arenas fill. Pick up the day’s times at the gate and be seated 15 minutes before each start.
