Insider Tips

  • Book Your Date Ahead: Madurodam limits how many guests it admits at once, so reserve your visit date in advance rather than risk being turned away at the gate.
  • Check the Forecast: Most of the park is outdoors, so dress for the weather and bring rain gear if showers are expected.
  • Arrive Close to Opening: The park fills up by midday, especially during school holidays, so early arrivals see the miniature displays and shows with far shorter waits.
  • Skip the Printer: Your ticket’s barcode works straight from your phone at the gate, so there’s no need to print anything beforehand.
  • Bring a Stroller or Wheelchair: The park has very few stairs, so strollers and wheelchairs move through the miniature displays with ease.
  • Valid Ticket Required: Visitors must keep their admission ticket with them during the visit and show it to Madurodam staff when requested.
  • Children Must Be Accompanied: Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. At least one responsible adult is required for every four children.
  • Entry May Be Refused: Madurodam reserves the right to refuse entry or remove visitors who do not follow park rules, disturb public order, are under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or intentionally cause damage.
  • Ticket Validity: Tickets are valid only on the specified date or during the stated validity period. Once a visitor leaves the park, the right of admission expires.
  • Park Capacity: Madurodam has limited visitor capacity and may ask visitors to return at another time when the park is too busy.
