Rules:

  • Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (e.g., sports or activewear).
  • Comfortable, enclosed rubber-soled shoes (running, sport, or hiking shoes) are required. Avoid PVC or leather soles.
  • No loose items, including phones or cameras, are allowed due to security regulations. Lockers are provided for personal belongings.
  • Glasses or sunglasses are allowed and will be securely attached to your suit. Smart glasses or wearables with recording devices are not permitted.
  • Rings and small earrings can stay on; other jewelry (e.g., watches, bracelets, fitness trackers) must be stored in lockers.
  • Long hair should be tied with a soft elastic band (no clips, pins, or scrunchies).
  • Free lockers are available for personal belongings, with the key attached to you.
  • All climbers must wear a protective Climb Suit, with a hat provided. Additional accessories like gloves, beanies, and rain jackets are provided in winter.

Know Before You Go

Entry & Services:

  • Children under 8 years old are not permitted to participate.
  • Children must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times, with a maximum of three children per adult.
  • Minimum height requirement: 120 cm.
  • Participants under 24 weeks pregnant or over 74 years of age must provide a fitness certificate from their GP.
  • Individuals over 24 weeks pregnant or those who have had a seizure within the past six months are not eligible to participate.
  • All participants must pass an alcohol breathalyser test before the activity begins.
  • Activity times vary based on the day and season; the exact schedule will be confirmed upon booking.

What to wear:

  • All participants must wear suitable enclosed rubber-soled shoes such as runners, track, or hiking shoes. PVC and leather-soled shoes are not suitable.
  • Lockers are provided as loose objects, including but not limited to cameras, video cameras, audio, pagers, mobile phones, handbags, and any other personal items that cannot be taken onto the bridge.
  • Participants should be ready to wear a BridgeSuit over their existing clothing.

Additional information:

  • The climb can be strenuous, and please assess your physical health before you book.
  • Although not mandatory, it is recommended that you purchase accident and/or travel insurance before participating in this activity.
  • For safety concerns, photographic equipment, cell phones, and sports cameras cannot be used during the activity. Storage areas are available at the venue. Lockers are available free of charge.
  • Participants must have a blood-alcohol level below .05 to climb. Everyone will be breathalyzed by BridgeClimb Sydney staff. Participants with blood levels over the limit will not be allowed to climb.
  • The entire climb duration takes approximately 3 hours.
  • The climb takes 1,002 steps to complete.
