Insider Tips

Be at the Gate for 09:30: Your ticket is fixed to the date you booked, and in summer the small on-site car park and the ticket-holder line both fill soon after opening. Arrive before the doors open with the voucher on your phone.
Queue 30 Minutes Before Each Show: The arenas open early and fill before showtime, so a late arrival means no seat. Plan the day around the timetable on the map you get at entry and lock in the orca show first, as it has the fewest slots.
The Splash Zone Is Not a Bluff: The marked front rows of the orca stadium get drenched on purpose. Sit higher, or pack a raincoat rather than buying a disposable one inside.
Stay Until Closing: Coach groups leave mid-afternoon and the paths empty out after 16:00. Do the shows first and save the animal walk for the last two hours, when you can finally stand at the glass.

Pets are not allowed inside the venue, except service animals with valid identification.
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
Feeding or touching the animals is strictly prohibited.
Flash photography is not allowed during shows or in sensitive exhibits.
Drones and professional filming equipment require prior authorization.

This activity is wheelchair-accessible.
Free train to Loro Parque (Departures every 20 minutes from Plaza de los Reyes Catolicos, next to McDonald's).
From Plaza de los Reyes Catolicos - Loro Parque: First train 09:30, last train 16:30.
From Loro Parque - Plaza de los Reyes Catolicos: First train 10:15, last train 17:30.
Children aged 12+ will be charged the same rate as adults.
You can leave and re-enter on the same day: ask for a hand stamp at the ticket office before you go out.
On-site parking costs 7 EUR per day and cannot be booked in advance. It fills soon after opening in summer, so arrive early or use the free train or bus.
Wheelchairs are lent free of charge against a deposit; pushchairs can be hired for a small daily fee plus deposit.

What are the opening hours of Loro Parque?

Loro Parque opens every day of the year from 09:30 to 17:30, with no later summer closing. The 17:30 close comes quickly if you want all four shows, so plan to arrive at opening rather than mid-morning.
Do I have to pick a date, and which day is best?

Yes. Tickets sold here are fixed-date and cannot be rescheduled, so choose a day you are sure of. Weekdays outside August are noticeably calmer, and on any day the quietest hours are right after opening and after 16:00, once the coach groups have left.
Which ages count as a child at Loro Parque?

Children aged 3 to 11 pay the child rate, under-3s enter free, and anyone aged 12 or over pays the adult price. Select the correct ticket type for each child when you book.
Can I bring food into Loro Parque?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drink, and there are several shaded picnic areas inside the park. Pack water too, as the park sells it in small cans and refill points are scarce.
How much time should I spend at Loro Parque?

Allow the full day. Seeing all four shows swallows most of the morning and early afternoon once you include queuing, and the aquarium, Planet Penguin, the aviaries and the gardens need the rest. Half a day covers the shows only.
