  • Visit Thursday Evening for Free: Admission is free from 5 to 8pm every Thursday, with live music some evenings. Skip the paid ticket line and just walk in.
  • Confirm Your Discount Category First: Youth, young adult and senior rates need proof of age or photo ID at the door. Booking the right category online avoids being charged full price at the counter.
  • Allow at Least Two Hours: The three story glass building is large and open plan, and it is easy to lose your way between wings. Pick up a map at the entrance.
  • Keep Your Distance From the Art: Security enforces a strict no touching, no leaning rule throughout the galleries. Remind kids beforehand so a warning does not spoil the visit.
  • Seek Out the Rideau Chapel: Tucked away from the main galleries, this reconstructed chapel is the piece that is easiest to miss, so look for it.

  • Guests may be asked to present a valid photo ID or proof of age for verification upon entry.
  • Re-entry to the venue is permitted. Show your ticket/wristband/stamp upon re-entry at the entrance.
  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
  • Dangerous materials and items such as bottles, firecrackers, lasers, and other things that may disturb or inconvenience other attendees are prohibited inside the venue.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the venue, with the exception of service animals with valid identification.
  • Participants who appear intoxicated may be refused entry or service. In this case, no refunds will be given.
  • Smoking and drinking is not allowed. You will immediately be asked to leave if caught by a staff member.
