FAQs

  • When is the Museum open?

    Daily from 9 am–5 pm CDT/CST. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, and during our annual Medallion Ceremony (usually the third Sunday in October). Galleries close promptly at 5 pm; closing announcements begin at 4:45 pm.
    The Museum is self-guided; we recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit. Hours may occasionally vary.

  • Where should I park?

    There are several paid lots located around the Museum. The Music City Center (6th Avenue S. and Demonbreun) and the Hilton Hotel are both across the street from the Museum and offer paid parking.

  • How long does it take to go through the Museum?

    The Museum’s self-guided experience takes approximately 90 minutes.

  • Is the museum family-friendly?

    Absolutely! With interactive exhibits and kid-friendly features, it's great for visitors of all ages.

  • Are food and drinks allowed inside?

    Food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibit areas, but there is a cafe and dining options on-site.

  • Is it wheelchair accessible?
