Arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled visit. Last admission is 2 hours before the site closes.
Advance online booking is recommended to secure your preferred date and time. Tickets are also available at the on-site ticket office, subject to availability.
Free parking is available at P1 and P2. P1 has spaces for visitors with reduced mobility, while P2 accommodates motorhomes; P3 is for buses.

FAQs

Are tickets valid for any date and time, or do I need to book a specific slot?

Tickets are for a fixed date and time, which you choose when you book rather than at the door. Arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled slot; last admission is 2 hours before the site closes.
Can I leave the site and come back later, for example for lunch?

No. Once your visit begins you cannot exit and re-enter, and the tour always starts with the cave. There is no break built in for a meal, so plan to eat before you arrive or after the full 2 to 3 hour visit.
Is this the real prehistoric cave, or a replica?

This ticket is for Lascaux IV, a full-scale facsimile of the original cave and its paintings. The real cave has been closed to the public since 1963 to protect the artwork from damage. An older, smaller replica called Lascaux II also exists nearby; this ticket covers Lascaux IV only.
Do I need to buy a ticket for my child under 5?

Entry is free for children under 5 with a reserved time slot. Without a paid ticket, though, they don’t receive an audio receiver, so they won’t be able to follow the guided commentary during the tour.
