- The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum is positioned as a museum of Asian art and culture, located in Taibao City, Chiayi. The park's design is inspired by the flowing lines of traditional ink paintings.
- The total area is approximately 70 hectares, including 20 hectares for the museum area and 50 hectares for the park area. The museum building was designed by architect Kris Yao.
- The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum primarily features artifacts borrowed from the Northern Branch's collections of calligraphy, painting, objects, and documents, constructing large-scale thematic exhibitions with both quality and quantity.

- Do not bring hazardous items, food, drinks, bottles, or cans. Unauthorized guiding is prohibited. Keep noise to a minimum and avoid running, playing, smoking, or littering. Pets (except guide dogs) and large items are not allowed. Please dress appropriately.
- Store large bags (over A3 size) at the baggage deposit. Security checks may be conducted. Follow staff instructions—those who violate the rules may be refused entry or asked to leave.

- By Bus: Local and intercity buses stop at or near the museum.
- By Car: Drive via National Freeway No. 1 or No. 3, follow signs for Taibao City / NPM Southern Branch; parking is available on-site.
