Base Camp Restaurant: Open from 10 am to 4 pm every day, you can conveniently order and pay for your meal using your phone with the provided QR code.

Base Camp BBQ: Available on weekends from 10 am to 3 pm, indulge in delicious barbecued treats.

Viewpoint Kitchen and Deli: Open every day from 10 am to 3 pm, and on weekends from 12 pm to 3 pm at Viewpoint Kitchen Restaurant. Enjoy Al Forno pasta dishes, freshly made pizzas, and a beautiful view of the white rhinos and Downs.

Visitor Centre Café: Situated at the zoo's entrance, the cafe serves deli sandwiches, hot savoury snacks (including breakfast baps), and a selection of hot and cold drinks from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

Station Store Picnic Shop: Open on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm, located next to The Great Whipsnade Railway, grab sandwiches, bakery items, and hot or cold drinks for a picnic.

Hullabazoo: Open from 10 am to 5 pm every day; get a drink and snack at Hullabazoo, conveniently located next to the indoor play area.

African Outpost: Open on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm; explore this outpost for additional food and drink options.

Afternoon Tea at Viewpoint Kitchen and Deli: Treat yourself to a delightful afternoon tea served at 2 pm, available on weekends and daily during the school summer holidays.

  • The Zoo is open every day except on Christmas Day. The opening time remains constant, but the closing time is seasonal.

Entry & Services:

  • Children under 16 will not be admitted without an adult.
  • No dogs are allowed on the ZSL Whipsnade Zoo premises.
  • Bicycles and motorbikes are not allowed.
  • BBQs not permitted.
  • Rollerskates, rollerblades, and skateboards are not allowed. 
  • No adult scooters are allowed.
  • There is no provision for left luggage.
