  • By Car: From Manhattan toy can take the FDR Drive (I-278 E) to the Willis Avenue Bridge. Continue onto the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 N), and take exit 7 for 230th Street. Follow signs to the zoo parking lots. From New Jersey, you can cross the George Washington Bridge, then merge onto I-95 S. Take exit 2A for the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 S) and continue to exit 7 for 230th Street. Follow signs to the zoo.
  • By Subway: Take the 2 or 5 train to the East 180th Street station in the Bronx. The zoo is a short walk from there.
  • By Bus: The BxM11 express bus stops near the zoo. Other local buses that stop nearby include the Bx9, Bx19, and Bx22.
  • BY Metro-North Railroad: If you're coming from the northern suburbs, you can take the Metro-North Harlem Line to the Fordham station and then transfer to the Bx9 bus to reach the zoo.
  • By Bicycle: The Bronx Zoo is accessible by bike. There are bike racks available for secure parking near the Bronx River Gate entrance.
