    • Louvre Abu Dhabi hosts four temporary exhibitions per year. As part of the unique collaboration between Abu Dhabi and France, they will be organised and created by thirteen French museum partners, exclusively for visitors to Louvre Abu Dhabi. These temporary exhibitions will follow the same thematic approach as the permanent collections in the Museum Galleries, highlighting comparisons, influences and shared ideas across civilisations and cultures.

    Louvre Abu Dhabi’s museum galleries tell the story of humanity in twelve inspiring chapters. Each chapter focuses on shared themes and ideas that reveal common connections throughout humanity. The works on show range from prehistoric artefacts to contemporary artworks.The experience of learning is at the heart of the Children's Museum where the aim is to inspire young minds by teaching children about artistic techniques and ideas. The dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi also serves a number of environmental purposes and provides a comfortable experience to visitors, allowing them to wander between the galleries,exhibitions,children’s Museum ,auditorium,open plaza,café and restaurant! The tranquil museum environment inspires visitors to enjoy the ever-changing relationship between sun, sea, art and architecture.

    • Photography is permitted throughout Louvre. However, flash photography is not allowed in some areas with sensitive exhibits.
    • Food and water is strictly prohibited inside the galleries The galleries are set at a relatively cool temperature to protect the installations. You might want to consider carrying a stole/scarf, especially for kids.

    • From Abu Dhabi: Take Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12) from Corniche road or Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street or Zayed the First Street. Take the exit right after Sheikh Khalifa Bridge to the Museum
    • From Dubai: Get on Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) and take the Abu Dhabi-Shahama Road (E10). Switch to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway( E12) and take the exit before Sheikh Khalifa Bridge
    • Public bus route 94, stop in Louvre Abu Dhabi (Saadiyat island )
